Support » Coping With Cancer
Breast cancer affects women not only physically but also emotionally. It often demoralizes women and leads to loss of self esteem. Going through post-diagnosis trauma, feeling anger, resentment, confusion or frustration is natural. You cannot change what has happened but here are some of the things you can do to cope better.
Having someone close to you diagnosed with breast cancer itself can be traumatic, and this can be compounded by feelings of guilt and resentment. These are some things you can do to be supportive without feeling overwhelmed.
Remember along with lending support to the person affected, it may be necessary for you to get support as well. There are many online support groups which you can join that discuss this perspective.
