Breast cancer is classified in stages to denote the progression of the disease.
Stage 0 is when the breast cancer has not spread outside the ducts or the lobules. This is 100% survivable.
Early stage of invasive cancer, here the tumor is under 2 centimeters and has not spread to the lymph nodes or any other part outside the breast. The survival rate is 98%.
Stage II is divided into two categories.
Stage III Breast Cancer is also divided in two categories.
In stage four the cancer has spread to other organs or tissues such as the liver, brains, lungs, distant lymph nodes or skeletal system.
